Welcome Our New Associate!
It brings me great pleasure to announce an "associateship" relationship with Frances Herrero, DMD, MS, who will be joining the practice starting January 14, 2019. Dr. Myron Nevins, famed researcher, clinician, and chief editor of the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, was responsible for getting us together. This will alleviate our patient flow and enable us to see and treat patients more expeditiously maintaining the same quality and commitment to excellence you expect from our practice.
Frances graduated from the University of Maryland residency program and received her Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies in Periodontology. Prior to that, she received her B.A. degree in Biology and her Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, where she graduated top of her class, Magna Cum Laude from both programs. She also completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, enabling her to treat medically compromised patients in a hospital setting. Her Master’s of Science degree research focused on Diabetes Mellitus and Implant overdentures. She has a long family history of dentists in her family with her Father a periodontist and her Brother an orthodontist. This will be approximately a year and a half duration as Frances plans on returning to Puerto Rico to assist her father with his 2 practices at the completion of her husband’s retinal fellowship with U.C. and the Cincinnati Eye Institute.
Please welcome Frances to our dental community. Frances has a warm and caring demeanor and is passionate about patient’s dental and emotional health. She will be a valuable short-term asset to our practice and will be looking forward to meeting everyone soon.
